The Marketing/Events Coordinator is responsible marketing, fundraising and social events. To plan, promote and manage events. To promote baseball to players through a newsletter and selling merchandise.

Position Functions:

  • Establish a promotions committee to implement the various promotional areas, selecting people who possess skills in these areas.
  • Establish and implement a promotional/marketing plan, which coincides with the club/associations 3-5 year business/strategic plan.
  • Establish and implement a media plan to improve the media coverage of baseball in your area.
  • Develop good rapport with local and regional media and submit regular press releases eg. Weekly reports, competition results, forthcoming events.
  • Develop various fundraising activities to increase club/association revenue eg. Social functions, pie drives, trivia nights, golf days.
  • Publicise and promote events, programs, competitions/tournaments and teams to local businesses, media, clubs and local community.
  • Develop and distribute a weekly/monthly club/association newsletter to all members and key stakeholders eg. Sponsors.
  • Establish a generic club logo, club colours and a merchandising range to identify all club members and teams.
