The Coaching Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that every player is coached. Maintain regular team coaches. Improve the coaches and coaching standards. Try to give every player the chance to reach her/his optimum potential in baseball.
Position Functions:
- Seek enough coaches for club requirements.
- Endeavour to help all coaches with accreditation.
- Ensure fair allocation of time and space at all training sessions.
- Liaise with equipment officer for correct gear for all players and coaches.
- Inform all parties of training days and times.
- List likely people willing and able to coach, with contact numbers.
- Approach potential coaches personally to discuss.
- Arrange meeting to establish guidelines and network for more names, before starting.
- Provide assistance with their planning and observe for feed back (plan in groups).
- Review training/coaching on-going.
- Be available to assist at games if needed.
- Communicate with Club and Association Junior Development Officers.
- Seek assistance from qualified coaches to help inform/update coaches.
- To progress self development, encourage the higher quality coaches to nominate for representative teams.
- Keep Club Executives informed.
- Obtain as much information as possible to pass onto all coaches.
- Video coaches in action and discuss jointly.
- Attend committee meetings to provide valuable feedback and update coaching ideas.
