ABOUT US

A Baseball Club with a proud tradition of sportsmanship and family values.

Rangers Baseball Club has been serving the baseball needs of the community of the Hornsby and Berowra districts and surrounds for many years. An amalgamation in 1996 of two former clubs, Berowra Baseball Club and the baseball section of Hornsby Heights Sports Club, Rangers has a significant twenty-year history in players, knowledge and experience.

The club has within its ranks many highly qualified and accredited coaches, umpires and scorers and this experience is one of our best resources.

We cater for all age groups from Under 7’s through to Senior A Grade and are affiliated with the Ryde Hornsby Baseball League (RHBL) for juniors and Pacific Coast Baseball League (PCBL) for seniors.

Our aim is to encourage children and adults to participate in baseball for the benefit of the players, the teams and the club. We also aim to ensure all players receive the highest level of training regardless of gender, race or religion so that they can play the game safely and confidently.

Like all local sporting clubs Rangers is a non-profit organisation and managed by a small group of volunteers who dedicate a lot of time and effort to ensure the aims of the club are met and that improvements are made in areas such as grounds and facilities, equipment and player development.

We are continually seeking community minded people to assist in the running of the club and if you feel you have something to offer please contact us as you would not only be made welcome but more importantly, your contribution would be appreciated by a large number of people.

Rofe Park

Rangers home ground since the clubs inception hosts all Rangers home games as well as many of it’s functions, coaching and baseball initiatives.

How you can help

2

Become a Coach or Manager

We are always looking for Players and Parents to help coach or assist in the management of a junior team. It’s immensely satisfying and a lot of fun plus you’ll be providing invaluable assistance to the the club and its players.

Can’t commit to a full time committee role but just want to help out? Well we have a number of positions available on our general committee.

5

Umpire

We just can’t play games without umpires and we rely on parents and players to volunteer. The more people who volunteer the more we can share the responsibilities.

6

Help with the Canteen

Some would say the lifeblood of any sporting club is the canteen! We always need volunteers to help run the canteen and man the BBQ’s.
