About the award
On 28th January 2016 long time player, coach, committee member and friend to so many at Rangers Baseball Club, Brad Rockwell, tragically and suddenly died.
Brad had long been involved with Rangers Baseball Club not only as a player but also as a coach, umpire and committee member. Basically if it related to baseball and improving everything around the club Brad would somehow be involved.
Brad was particularly passionate about development of junior baseball players and to preserve the memory and lasting legacy of Brad within Rangers Baseball Club, the committee have decided to implement an annual perpetual shield.
The criteria for being nominated to be considered for this award therefore relies on a continued commitment towards the advancement of junior baseball within the Rangers Baseball Club.
As such Rangers Baseball Club are now calling for nominations for this award. Please forward the name of the nominee, their position within the club and a short explanation as to why that person should be considered for this award with particular mention of the advancement / development of junior baseball. Nominations made be made via the form or by email to president@rangersbaseball.com.au and will close Sunday 19th March 2023
Nominations must contain:
- The person you are nominating (you may only nominate one person per year)
- The Position within Rangers Baseball Club they hold
- A short explanation as to why they should be considered
- Your contact details (in case we require further information
As many will understand the committee are not able to attend every game but your insight and feedback as to the wonderful people at this club will be greatly appreciated.
